Blissfields offer free tickets to NHS staff and firefighters

The terrible tragedy at Grenfell Tower last week was another reminder in a very long list of the unbelievable work our struggling, under-staffed, often under-paid NHS staff and firefighters do – not just in times of national crisis, but every day.

That’s why the lovely people behind Winchester’s Blissfields Festival are offering a number of free weekend and day tickets to NHS workers and firefighters to this year’s festival on 6-8 July, when sleepy Winchester’s Vicarage Farm will become home to 4,000 festival goers.Unlike many small festivals who often veer into nicher territories (which is, of course, no bad thing), Blissfield’s lineup reflects an appreciation of music across the board, with over 100 diverse acts across the weekend, including the brilliant Cinematic Orchestra and Metronomy, who take the headline slots.Across the rest of the weekend, wanderers will find a well-curated lineup across several stages ranging from majors like UK rapper Lady Leshurr, indie-pop group Sundara Karma and electropop singer Shura, to lesser known must-sees like Bahrain-London multi-instumentalists Flamingods, or funny folk man Beans on Toast.

Blissfields festival takes place at Vicarage Farm, Winchester on 6-8 July. NHS and firefighters can grab their free tickets here (NHS and firefighter cards must be shown on arrival), otherwise tickets and full lineup info is available on the Blissfields Festival website.
