If you missed out on Boomtown tickets this year, fear not. Limited resale tickets are available as well as tickets to the new VIP area Boomtown Springs.
After a record breaking year, with tickets selling out back in February, official resale tickets for Chapter 10 of Boomtown went live last week. And although the general entry tickets were snapped up in under a minute, coach/shuttle traveller tickets and Wednesday entry are still available.
Festival organisers have promised their best year yet, with names like Gorillaz, Jimmy Cliff, Limp Bizkit and Die Antwoord topping the roster, and over 25 main stages and many more sideshows and hidden areas dotted around the city (full lineup here).
One of the most unique aspects of Boomtown is the interactive and theatrical elements of the festival which serve to include revellers in every aspect of the festival and immerse them in the story of the city.
There are districts such as Paradise Heights, Metropolis and Copper City (a new industrialised version of the Wild West). These can be found among some old favourites such as Old Town, DSTRKT 5 and Ban Hai Towers, the industrial heart of the city and centre of Chapter 10’s story line ‘The Machine Cannot Be Stopped’. This follows the story of an anonymous hacker and their fight to bring down the tyrannical Ban Hai Industries after the events of Chapter 9 (full story here).New for Chapter 10 is the introduction of Boomtown Springs, a new luxurious and theatrical camping experience in the heart of the city, hosted by Bearded Kitten – the creative minds behind The Bank, The Opera House and The Gentleman’s Club, from previous chapters.
The new VIP area will offer residents free early Wednesday entry, access to the Boomtown Springs ‘mansion’ and ‘pool’ parties, plus £100 worth of drinks tokens for hidden bars dotted around the festival, among many more perks. On arrival, Boomtown Springs residents will also be able to take advantage of its own festival entrance (meaning limited to zero queues ) and close proximity parking.
This will all come at a cost however, with tickets upwards of £480 (with 50/50 split payment and £100 deposit options available).
There is also the option of upgrading your accommodation to either a bell tent, pod pad or airstream caravan for additional luxury and comfort (full details here)
