Blazey Bodynod selects his three playlist tracks for Love Saves the Day

For many of us, Bristol’s Love Saves the Day marks the definitive start of summer and the almighty festival season.

After an already irresistible lineup announcement including Fat Freddy’s Drop, Kano, Little Dragon, Mura Masa, Nao, My Nu Leng and Jamie Jones, they’ve been testing our levels of impatience for the weekend in question with further announcements from their partner stages, not least, the Arcadia Afterburner stage.

The monstrous, bass-heavy, fire-spouting, 360-degree stage is headlined on Saturday by Ricardo Villalobos, and on Sunday by DJ Hype B2B with Hazard.

With not a warm-up act in sight, the lineup is pure fire straight through the weekend, with sets from Craig Richards, Peverelist & Hodge, Friction, Dimension, Randall B2B 4Hero, and a special takeover from Bristol’s own Bodynod, featuring P Money, Marcus Nasty and Blazey Bodynod.

Flying the flag for UK garage and grime from since way back when, Bodynod’s Blazey co-founded the legitimately-legendary Subloaded clubnight, which can still be credited for shaping Bristol’s underground scene today.

We asked Blazey to give us three tracks from his Love Saves the Day playlist to get us in the mood. Crank your speakers up and imagine the warmth of the sun and lit propane on your backs…

P Money – Gunfingers

Skepsis – Goes Like

Mr Virgo – Don’t Play
