Redlight is dropping a free tune every Friday for 6 weeks

Redlight is dropping a free tune every Friday for six weeks… But you’ll have to be quick. The free download link will only be available for the first few hours.

Producer Redlight, who’s brought us hits like Lost in your Love, 9Ts and last summer’s festival banger Gold Teeth, has announced his first full collection since his 2015 album X Colour.

Templates Vol. 1, due to be released on his Lobster Boy label, is a mixtape of his best club remixes from the past six months. From 29 April until 3 June, Redlight will be releasing one track a week, with fans quick off the mark able to download a free copy from his soundcloud page within the first few hours.Redlight is dropping a free tune every Friday for 6 weeksRedlight, AKA Hugh Pescod, has nailed sounds across a multitude of genres. Whether under his now-discarded drum and bass alias DJ Clipz, UK bass project Animal Youth, or Redlight, he’s consistently at the top of his game, traversing the rarely trodden ground between underground music and commercial success.

Although he made a departure from the club sound he made a name for as Redlight with his latest album X Colour, exploring R&B, jungle and some broken beat thrown into the mix, it seems he couldn’t quite stay away.

As he tells Clash Music: “Templates Volume 1 is the first in a series of mixtapes that is just all about club music. Most parties I play I always try to make new music for that show, and this is a selection of the best tunes and remixes I’ve done over the past six months”.

Redlight hasn’t officially announced what time tracks will drop, or for how long the free download will be available, but we recommend keeping an eye on his soundcloud page this Friday.
